AI & The Global Economy – What’s Next?
Join us for an extraordinary evening with 2024 Nobel Laureate Simon Johnson, the Ronald A. Kurtz Professor of Entrepreneurship at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Professor Johnson first came to MIT as a doctoral student, earning his PhD in Economics before joining the Institute’s faculty, where he has spent decades advancing research on economic growth, technology, public policy, and the transformative impact of artificial intelligence.
In 2024, he was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, alongside fellow economists Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson, for their groundbreaking research on how institutions shape prosperity.
Enjoy an elegant dinner while Professor Johnson shares insights from his Nobel Prize-winning work, reflects on his experience in Stockholm, and explores how artificial intelligence and economic policy are shaping our future.
Launching the MIT Endicott House Nobel Laureate Series, this inaugural dinner offers a rare opportunity to engage with one of MIT’s Nobel laureates in an intimate setting. Guests will enjoy exceptional cuisine, thoughtful conversation, and insights rarely shared outside the world’s leading academic institutions.
