2023 Whiskey Tasting Dinner

2023 Dinner Theme – Unicorns & Rare Macallan

MIT Endicott House is celebrating our 10^th Annual Whisk(e)y Event and it is one not to be missed!  Our special guest speaker is Alex Thibault, Market Manager of Massachusetts for Edrington Americas.  Alex will be showcasing Macallan, a brand which is often considered to be the premiere Luxury Single Malt.

The whisky world has changed so much in the last decade. Bottles that were readily available consumed by every day drinkers, to the sometimes-higher priced gifts that we would purchase for ourselves, have become scarce and even impossible to find. Our tasting this year will explore some of those extremely rare and impossible to find whiskies from the world’s most sought-after Single Malt Scotch producer, The Macallan. The Whisky dinner, (following the blind tasting panel discussion), will pair a delicious meal prepared by our Executive Chef Eddie Cerrato and culinary team with some amazing, limited released whiskies from the Macallan Distillery.

The evening will start with a welcoming reception where guest will enjoy special designed craft cocktail and light hors-oeuvres. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening.

2023 Tasting Panel: Blind Tasting

Guests will then experience an educational blind tasting of unique whiskies. Favorite whiskies selected by our panel.  The format is classroom style, an interactive session exploring flavor profiles. Our collaboration continues with members from the North Shore Whiskey Club who will help lead our panel discussion.  The BLIND TASTING format helps increase focus to identify characteristics, similarities and differences between individual whiskies by removing any bias tasters might have. Our panel of experts will help you learn analysis of what is in the glass. This tasting will challenge all that you think about the world of whiskey.
