In 2017, after a painful loss to Auburn, Steve came over to Kira’s house to join her and her roommates in sulking in their basement. Except at the end of the night, he was hesitant to leave. Kira walked him to the door to say goodnight and they kissed!
Backing up, we first ran into each other in 2010 in high school at ASMS, but we didn’t actually get introduced or become friends until Kira arrived at college in 2014. Our mutual friend Dustin re-introduced us at Bama, and we orbited each other in the same group of friends for years. Until that fateful Iron Bowl Saturday…
Since then, we’ve both left college, moved to Birmingham together, got a dog, learned to kayak, discovered a love of camping, bought a house, lost a cat, and gone to approximately 250 nights of bar trivia together.
